Graduate Cameron Lineen, who plays rugby for Heriot’s and is the son of Scotland Internationalist Sean Lineen, has joined the Capital Markets Group in Edinburgh, while apprentice Callum Napier and graduate Kyle Stuart are part of the Building Consultancy team in Edinburgh and the Retail and Investment team in Glasgow respectively.

They will spend the next two years along with the other new graduates and apprentices across Cushman & Wakefield’s UK offices working towards a professional qualification through the RICS, CIBSE and RTPI.  In total 51 new recruits have been taken on nationwide including 44 graduates and seven apprentices.

Stuart Dorward, head of Scotland for Cushman & Wakefield, said: “All three of our new starts are impressive individuals with big careers ahead of them and a huge passion and enthusiasm for the real estate industry. We are delighted to have them join us and follow in the footsteps of last year’s new starts who have quickly established themselves as valued members of the Scottish team.”

Cameron graduated from the University of Aberdeen with an Honours Degree in Geography, before completing a Masters in Real Estate and Planning at Heriot-Watt University.

He said: “Cushman & Wakefield has an outstanding reputation and I am really enjoying being part of the Capital Markets Group – every day is different and it’s interesting being involved in speculative development which is a very exciting area of the market.

“There is a real culture of team-work which is great for me as I work best in a team, and the company is very forward-looking with its own futures network which gives us updates on technological advances and coming trends in the real estate market.”

Also a geography graduate from the University of Aberdeen, Kyle completed his Masters in Real Estate at the University of Glasgow.

Kyle, who is from Glasgow and plays football for Jordanhill AFC, said: “Cushman & Wakefield is a global company with lots of opportunities for career progression and I had heard a lot of good things about them from my lecturers at university. I am really pleased to be working in the retail team and getting out and about and meeting clients.”

Callum studied Building Surveying at Edinburgh Napier for a year before deciding to pursue an apprenticeship to allow him to work towards his degree whilst also working in a full-time job. Another keen sportsman, he has played both rugby and football for teams in his hometown of Peebles.
