Aberdeen-based specialist property services provider Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate has announced it is targeting further expansion following a highly successful first year in operation.

Launched in March 2023, the firm has swiftly established itself in Scotland’s commercial property sector.

Its market knowledge, progressive approach and strategic advice offering have already seen it build up a strong book of instructions from both landlord and occupier clients across the office and industrial sectors.

The firm has been involved in a wide range of projects across its first year, ranging from providing strategic property advice to Baker Hughes in connection to selling part of their business in Montrose to AME International, to acquiring Helix Well Ops’ new Dyce facility, and sourcing a new storage warehouse in Edinburgh for award-winning street food restaurant FreshMex.

Founder and managing director of Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate, Iain Landsman, said: “Our first year of operations has genuinely surpassed our expectations. We knew we were bringing a fresh and dynamic proposition to the market, but the scale and pace of our growth gives us a huge amount of pride and satisfaction.

“We’re very grateful for the trust placed in us by our clients and for the loyalty demonstrated by so many of our contacts. Our basic professional principles of offering honest, candid advice and treating each property as if it were our own have been instrumental in helping us reach significant milestones.

“Our success is a testament to the hard work, energy and passion of our team, and we’re excited by what we believe the future holds for our business.”

The firm is now making plans to expand its team and its service offerings and strengthen further its presence in the commercial property market.

Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate works closely with the wider Hutcheon Mearns business. Managing director of the finance advisory specialist, Adam Maitland, added: “Establishing Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate a year ago was a logical next step for us as we sought innovative ways to support clients and broaden our services.

“It was set up following the establishment of our deals advisory business, which provides support on M&A and transaction due diligence where property is often a central consideration.”
