UBS hires wealth advisor Andrew Sloan for Edinburgh expansion

UBS Global Wealth Management has appointed Andrew Sloan as a client advisor in Edinburgh.
In his new role, Mr Sloan will create bespoke, holistic wealth management solutions for business owner and entrepreneur clients. His hire reinforces UBS’s commitment to providing locally informed, personalised advice to clients in the UK and Channel Islands, backed by the scale and expertise of the firm’s global footprint.
With more than two decades in the financial services industry, Mr Sloan brings extensive experience in leading relationships with entrepreneurs, business owners, and family businesses to help them manage their wealth effectively. He joins UBS from RBC Brewin Dolphin, where for the past seven years he specialised in supporting entrepreneurial clients across Scotland. Prior to this, he spent 11 years with the Bank of Scotland, where he developed and led relationships with mid-market corporate firms and family businesses, alongside roles in corporate business development and within specialist teams.

Mr Sloan has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Business Studies and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh. Professionally, he holds the Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Chartered Member of the Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). Mr Sloan is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), holds the Investment Management Certificate, and has a CISI Diploma in Capital Markets.
