Glasgow-based accountancy firm Wylie & Bisset LLP has been named as a finalist in the Large Accountancy Firm of the Year category at the prestigious Scottish Accountancy and Finance Awards.

The awards recognise the skills and achievements of accountants and finance experts in both the private and public sectors and the firm is proud to have been chosen as a finalist.

The Awards ceremony, on 14th June at Glasgow’s Radisson Blu Hotel, is one of the largest events in Scottish accountancy and recognises hard work and commitment across the entire profession.

The Large Accountancy Firm of the Year category aims to recognise a firm which enjoyed an exceptional year in 2016 and demonstrated outstanding achievements.

Ross McLauchlan, joint managing partner of Wylie & Bisset, said: “2016 was an exciting year for the firm and the way the business is managed. Key appointments and organic growth, alongside innovative ways of cultivating opportunity, all played a part in an excellent 2016. Wylie & Bisset is delighted to be shortlisted in the awards and everyone at the firm looks forward to the event itself and celebrating the successes of the profession as a whole.”

Partner Donald McKinnon, added: “Wylie & Bisset is a long-established practice of chartered accountants with a history reaching back hundreds of years. This doesn’t mean we can rest on our laurels and to thrive in the modern business environment needs constant innovation. Our entry to the awards featured some of that innovation we have brought to business development in recent years and we were pleased the judges recognised that in their shortlist.”
