Due to an impending retirement we are looking to employ a chief operating officer to lead the practice and play a pivotal role in its development.

The Chief Operating Officer is an integral part of the firms management team, and vital to the successful running of the practice, we are keen to recruit someone with the skills necessary to take the practice forward in managing the internal running of the practice and the changing needs of the partners.

The role will require the candidate to implement best practice and identify areas of improvements throughout the practice to end sure efficient and smooth running and continued growth of the firm.

The areas the COO will be responsible for will include, but will not be limited to:

• Technology Management
• Client Service
• Staff Management
• Process Improvement
• Strategic Implementation
• Risk Management
• Compliance
• Financial Oversight

Specific duties:

• Control workflow to maintain a balanced workloads and meet deadlines etc
• Standardise office procedures, recommend system improvements 
• Responsible for all human resources activities
• Supervise admin dept and control all internal accounting functions including preparation of monthly accounts and statutory financial statements. Provision of KPI report  and statistical information
• Provision of budgeting information
• Monitor cashflow and oversee collection of debts and payments of suppliers
• Supervision of outsourced IT support
• Oversee all regulatory reporting and ensuring compliance and controls in place as required by our regulators.

Key requirements include:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in senior /financial role
• Strong organisational, communications and IT skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• A comprehensive understanding of core business functions, including operations, finance, and HR
