THE ROLE
This newly scoped Financial Controller position offers the opportunity to lead a small finance team and take ownership of month-end, controls, and reporting across six entities.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance and CFO, with exposure to M&A and PE-backed growth.
- Lead and develop a team of 3 finance staff
- Own month-end close, management accounts, and audit prep
- Strengthen controls and improve reporting processes
- Collaborate with commercial and operational teams
- Contribute to strategic projects including M&A integration
- Support Head of Finance with commercial tasks as required
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA) with a strong grounding in finance operations, controls, and reporting. You will have hands-on experience of month-end close, management accounts, and audit preparation. You will be comfortable leading a small team, balancing technical detail with commercial insight, and communicating clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Experience with Sage Intacct or similar systems, multi-entity international environments and a track record of process improvement, will be highly valued.
Mandatory
- Professional qualification (CA/ACA/ACCA)
- Ownership of month-end close and multi-entity consolidation
- Strong controls and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Audit readiness and statutory reporting
- Cash and working capital management
- Advanced Excel/BI skills
- Track record of process improvement/change delivery
Preferred
- Experience with Sage Intacct (or NetSuite/Salesforce)
- M&A integration exposure
- Pricing/revenue recognition (IFRS 15)
- SaaS KPI fluency (ARR, churn, gross margin)
- Stakeholder management experience (C-suite/PE)
- Practical understanding of revenue recognition (including ARR)
- FX and international tax coordination
- Data and automation project experience
- Team development/coaching in lean structures
- Experience in PE reporting rhythms and board materials
