Azets has promoted Aberdeen-based audit director Matthew Allan to Partner in a move designed to support growth plans.
Mr Allan, who steps up with ambitions to build the firm’s profile across the north east of Scotland, joined the accountancy and business advisory company in June 2021 as an associate director.
As Audit Partner, he is responsible for delivering audit, assurance and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients from owner-managed businesses to multi-nationals.
His sector expertise spans energy and marine services, the food and drink industry, manufacturing and construction, with clients based both in the UK and overseas.
Among his other specialisms is the provision of grant claim assurance reports and independent audit examinations for charities.
“My new role gives me even bigger scope to help build the profile of Azets in the north east of Scotland,” he said.
“Success is always about delivering real value to our clients by applying our skills and expertise and I’m grateful for the enhanced opportunity to do just that.”
David Booth, Regional Managing Partner for Azets in Aberdeen, said: “Matthew’s promotion is a well-deserved recognition of the significant contribution he has made to our clients and our business since joining Azets.
“His technical expertise, commercial approach and commitment to delivering high-quality service have made him a valued member of our audit team.
“His appointment comes at the end of another exceptionally strong financial year for our Aberdeen office, reflecting the continued growth of our business, the strength of our client relationships and the dedication of our people.”
