Azets Aberdeen acquires 25% more office space and announces three new hires as it targets 100 staff

The Aberdeen office of regional accountancy firm Azets has taken a further 2000 sq ft of space at its Albyn Place offices with capacity for a further 20 staff as the firm responds to rising demand from businesses across the North-East of Scotland.

Azets has also strengthened its new corporate tax team with a further two senior hires. Jenna McDonald joins as a corporate tax manager from AAB. She has advised a wide range of SMEs and multinational groups on their corporation tax and is also a specialist in R&D Tax Relief. Chelsea Robertson also joins as a corporate tax manager and brings extensive experience advising fast-growing businesses on their UK and international tax strategies.

The Albyn Place office now extends to 6000 sq ft and with the firm’s new hybrid working model the business is on target to employ around 100 staff in Aberdeen by the end of 2022.



David Booth, Azets regional managing partner, said: “The additional space means that we have the capacity to accelerate our expansion plans and continue to hire a wide range of talent from across the North-East, including expanding our established graduate and trainee recruitment programme.”

Azets has also appointed Jamie Summerton as a specialist consultant responsible for managing the Audit team. Jamie Summerton is returning to the profession following a lengthy period working in a senior financial leadership role in the food manufacturing industry. Prior to industry he worked for several mid-tier and Big 4 firms and is a recognised expert on IFRS and UK GAAP.
