Emma Louden, HR manager at Chiene + Tait, has been appointed to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Mid Scotland branch committee, focusing on health and wellbeing, as well as employee engagement in the workplace.

The CIPD is at the forefront of championing better work and working lives by setting high professional standards for developing people within the workplace. The organisation’s worldwide hubs represent over 150,000 members.

Ms Louden’s new role will focus on how employers can develop and promote initiatives that enhance positive mental health and wellbeing across their workforce.

She said: “I’m really enthused about getting involved in this role which aims to build on the increasing investment by businesses and organisations into their employees’ mental and physical health. While I have a lot of positive input to share through the work we’ve done within Chiene + Tait, I am also extremely keen to learn about new and innovative ideas from fellow CIPD members.”

Andrew Latto, chairman of the Mid Scotland CIPD branch, said: “We are delighted to be harnessing Emma’s extensive skills to the benefit of fellow HR professionals and the staff they support across Scotland. Working together, our branches are a formidable force for change and are revolutionising the professional environment.

“The CIPD’s local branch activities are organised and run by committed professionals who generously give their own time for the benefit of our members and their organisations. Emma is absolutely one of those professionals and will make a brilliant contribution.”
