Consilium Chartered Accountants has provided financial due diligence services to Maven Capital Partners as part of a multi-million-pound investment in Scottish business PowerPhotonic.
PowerPhotonic – pioneers in advanced laser system optics – have secured £2.6 million from Maven to expand their UK and US operations. Headquartered in Dalgety Bay the business designs complex freeform optics that enhance the performance and reliability of laser systems. It manufactures from a USA-based facility in Arizona and distributes globally to the aerospace, defence, semiconductor, and medical sectors.
The engagement continues a long-standing relationship between Consilium and Maven. Corporate finance partner Linzi Wilson, Siobhan Moore and Thomas McGrath led Consilium’s financial due diligence team.
Maven investment manager Craig McGill said: “Linzi, Siobhan and the Consilium team delivered clear, thorough, and insightful financial due diligence, combining technical expertise with pragmatic, commercial perspective.
“Equally important, they were a pleasure to work with – highly collaborative, responsive, and clear in their communication throughout. Their support gave us real confidence in our decision making and was instrumental in the successful completion of the transaction.”
Ms Wilson said: “It was a pleasure to work with David Milroy and Craig McGill on this project. Maven’s investment will help PowerPhotonic strengthen its position as a global leader and enable it to capitalise on new opportunities globally.”
