Accountants and business advisors CT has promoted two of its colleagues to director level.

Phil Pagan, from the firm’s Corporate Tax team, and Claire Proctor, CT’s Head of Payroll, will move into their new senior roles from April.

Mr Pagan joined the firm in 2014 as an audit trainee, completing his training before transferring over to CT’s Corporate Tax team. With extensive experience delivering compliance and advisory services to his clients, Mr Pagan has worked closely with businesses in the renewables, property development, and PFI sectors, helping them navigate complex challenges with tailored tax solutions. He also leads the firm’s Technology and Innovation Hub.

Ms Proctor initially joined CT’s Payroll team as a contractor in 2021, and was made a permanent staff member two years later. Advising clients across a diverse range of sectors on payroll issues, she is also part of CT’s Risk & Improvement group, Strategic Growth Team and Sustainability Groups.

CT’s senior tax partner John Rodger said: “I congratulate both Phil and Claire on their promotions.

“Phil’s progress from trainee to director over the past 12 years underlines the focused career path which the firm offers our people. In that period, he has become a valued member of our Corporate Tax team working effectively with both clients and colleagues.

“Claire is another highly-valued colleague who is already operating in a key leadership role as our head of payroll. Her move to director comes on the back of her impressive work with clients and colleagues as our Payroll team continues to go from strength to strength under her guidance.

“I look forward to working with Phil and Claire in their new roles as we continue to grow CT’s presence across the UK market.”
