Dains liquidator leads winding up of Glenrothes engineering firm
Annette Menzies, Glasgow-based business recovery partner at Dains Accountants, has been appointed interim liquidator of Euthenia Products Ltd.
The appointment, effective 20 October 2025, follows a petition submitted to the court by HM Revenue & Customs earlier in the month seeking the compulsory winding up of the company.
Euthenia Products Ltd, which traded as Euro Precision, was a Glenrothes-based engineering firm serving the aerospace and defence sectors. The company ceased trading on 30 September 2025 after failing to secure a viable buyer, resulting in the redundancy of all 28 employees.
Since her appointment, Ms Menzies has taken control of the company’s 30,000 sq ft facility with the agreement of the landlord. A primary focus for the liquidator has been the orderly realisation of assets to repay creditors.
Dains instructed professional auctioneers Sweeney Kincaid to assist with the recovery and sale of the company’s assets, including financed plant, high-tech machinery, and office equipment. The resulting online auction of 360 lots, which included CNC precision machines, successfully raised over £300,000.
In addition to managing asset sales, the interim liquidator is prioritising support for the workforce. The firm is currently assisting former employees with claims for arrears of wages and other statutory entitlements through the Redundancy Payments Service.
Ms Menzies and her team at Dains have begun gathering information on the company’s financial affairs to report to creditors. The firm will continue to progress asset realisations and manage the statutory winding-up process.
