FRP launches specialist forensic services in Scotland

FRP Advisory has launched its forensic services offering to clients in Scotland, marking the occasion with its inaugural Beyond the Numbers seminar – an event designed to help legal, regulatory and investigative professionals stay ahead of advances in accounting and digital investigations.

Alison Hollywood and Sinead O’Neill, who lead FRP’s forensic services practice across Scotland and Northern Ireland, are spearheading the rollout of the series and bring extensive expertise in forensic accounting, expert witness work and complex investigations, and are supported by FRP’s 50-strong national forensic team.

The launch event, held at The Hoxton in Edinburgh, brought together professionals from across Scotland’s legal, corporate and regulatory communities to explore how digital tools and advanced technologies are transforming the way investigations are conducted – from corporate disputes and white-collar crime to employment matters.

Guests were offered practical guidance on spotting fraudulent signatures, identifying fake documents and leveraging cutting-edge technology in complex investigations.

Alison Hollywood, forensic services partner at FRP, said: “The strong response to our Edinburgh event highlights the appetite for knowledge sharing around forensic techniques in Scotland. Having worked in the Scottish market for many years, I’m delighted to officially launch our dedicated forensic services offering here.

“We’re committed to building a team who can support clients on the ground, with the full backing of our 50-strong forensic services team across the UK.

“That combination of local accessibility and national expertise sets us apart – whether it’s claims advisory, expert witness work or complex investigations, clients in Scotland now have direct access to specialists who understand their market, supported by colleagues with deep experience across every area of forensic services.”

Callum Carmichael, restructuring advisory partner at FRP, added: “The Scottish team were pleased to host the inaugural Scottish forensics event with Alison and Sinead demonstrating our breadth of expertise and encouraging the market to look beyond the numbers.

“The event was well received, and we will be working with the forensics team to further develop our respective networks in the professional community.”
