Gary Cameron has been appointed as head of Scotland for the property arm of French international banking group BNP Paribas.

Mr Cameron has also been appointed as head of Scotland for its residential and rural arm Strutt & Parker and forestry arm John Clegg & Co.

Combined, these three exceptional brands provide advice and support on all matters relating to commercial, residential and rural real estate, with a network of five offices operating across Scotland, in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Banchory, Inverness and Perth.

Mr Cameron joined BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2013 and has more than 20 years of experience in the Scottish property market. He has been promoted to Head of Scotland having spent three years as head of the Glasgow office and is senior director, heading up the commercial investment and transactional side of the business.

Mr Cameron said: “We have an impressive platform in Scotland which I am delighted to be heading up. Despite the continuing challenges, we are looking to build and maximise our coverage across Scotland. I am very pleased to say we have exciting news to announce shortly on two new senior hires into the John Clegg team. This follows expansion of our commercial valuation and rating teams and we will be looking to do the same across all sectors and markets where we see growth.”

Etienne Prongué, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK, added: “Scotland is a key market for us. We have five offices strategically positioned across the country, and are looking to broaden and grow the support available to our clients, enhancing the wealth of services we have to offer across our commercial, residential and rural businesses.”

Mr Cameron will head up a highly experienced leadership team of Kevin Maley, head of residential in Scotland and Andrew Aitchison, head of rural in Scotland.

BNP PRE provides commercial investment and agency, valuations, rating advice, building consultancy, planning and development advice and property management; Strutt & Parker’s residential arm specialises in the prime Edinburgh city market, country houses and estate and farm sales, while John Clegg & Co, UK leaders in buying and selling forestry, also acts in forestry valuation and asset management.

Commercial agency, farming, land management, planning and additional residential sales teams are also positioned across the firm’s Glasgow, Perth, Banchory and Inverness offices.
