Glasgow-based Candidate.ID wins £500,000 funding from investors

Glasgow-based recruitment technology company Candidate.ID has received ££500,000 in funding from various investors.

Candidate.ID successfully raised £500,000 in just four weeks with contributions made from 550 investors.

Investors include former RBS global human resources director Neil Roden and influential US recruitment industry commentator Tim Sackett.

The firm is on track to record £1 million revenues this year from the sale of software which allows companies to identify suitable recruits and to make connections with them.

Customers for the company include Nationwide and Specsavers.

Adam Gordon, Candidate.ID’s chief executive, said that the funding round provided the company with a vote of confidence regarding the company’s potential for growth.

He said: “Over half of our investors are directly involved in HR and recruitment and include some truly world-famous practitioners within the discipline.”

The company had previously secured a six-figure investment from a German financial services firm, Jakobo Invest, in April.

Candidate.ID intends to invest in adding new capabilities to its technology as plans for expansion in overseas markets.

Growth prospects for the firm in the domestic market also appear positive.
