Scottish business Phlo, the digital healthtech provider headquartered in Glasgow, employing over 120 people across the UK, has been awarded the HealthTechX Growth Award 2025.

The online pharmacy has been recognised for its seamless, patient-focused approach to healthcare and exceptional growth, innovation, and impact across the UK healthcare landscape.

The HealthTechX Awards celebrate founders and companies driving meaningful innovation across healthcare. Winners are recognised for transforming patient outcomes, improving access, and accelerating health technology adoption.

Cameron Thompson, associate at IBIS Capital and judge on the HealthTechX Awards panel, said: “Phlo stood out to the judging panel for its exceptional growth and innovation in digital health.

“The team has built a truly end-to-end offering that combines cutting-edge technology with an outstanding user experience – powering everything from B2B pharmacy infrastructure to patient-facing care. Their work with partners like Morrisons is a great example of how Phlo is helping to modernise access to healthcare at scale.”

Phlo achieved 500% year-on-year revenue growth between FY2024 and FY2025, driven by record demand for weight loss medication and the rapid adoption of its direct-to-consumer digital health platform, Phlo Clinic, which offers digital consultations and treatment pathways for weight management and preventive health.

Since January 2025, Phlo has dispensed more than 200,000 weight loss prescriptions, helping patients collectively lose an estimated 536 metric tonnes.

Adam Hunter, CEO of Phlo, commented: “To be recognised by HealthTechX for our growth is a reflection of our incredible team and the patients who trust us with their care every day. We’re excited to keep making digital health modern and accessible, improving lives across the UK”.

The growth builds on the company’s mission to shape the future of healthcare by delivering seamless, patient-focused experiences powered by technology, connecting patients, clinicians, and partners across a single, scalable digital ecosystem.

Phlo’s success has been supported by external investment from investors including Par Equity, Thairm Bio and Scottish Enterprise and its expansion into major UK hubs including Glasgow, London, and Manchester.

Phlo is led by CEO Adam Hunter, a founding team member who has driven the company’s commercial growth since launch, and COO Alistair Murray, whose expertise spans pharmacy operations and technology-led healthcare transformation, bringing entrepreneurial drive and deep healthcare expertise to Phlo’s ongoing expansion.
