Glasgow-headquartered digital healthtech provider Phlo, which employs over 120 people across the UK, has been named in The Sunday Times 100 Tech, the UK’s fastest-growing private technology companies.

Phlo ranked 13th in the software category, following a year of exceptional growth driven by the expansion of its direct-to-consumer weight-loss platform and the scaling of its B2B digital pharmacy and infrastructure services.

The company is one of a small number of Scottish organisations to feature in this year’s Sunday Times 100 Tech, at a time when Scotland’s ability to produce and retain high-growth scale-ups has come under increasing scrutiny. The company’s growth highlights the role of experienced leadership, patient capital and real-world problem solving in building globally competitive technology businesses from Scotland.

The annual ranking highlights companies demonstrating strong revenue growth, innovation and long-term commercial sustainability, spotlighting businesses that are shaping the future of the UK technology sector.

Phlo achieved 500% year-on-year revenue growth between FY2024 and FY2025, from £4 million to £23m, fuelled by the rapid adoption of its direct-to-consumer digital health platform, Phlo Clinic, alongside continued growth in its B2B digital pharmacy and infrastructure services.

The growth builds on Phlo’s mission to modernise healthcare by delivering seamless, patient-focused experiences powered by technology, connecting patients, clinicians and partners across a single, scalable digital ecosystem.

Adam Hunter, CEO of Phlo, said: “Being recognised in The Sunday Times 100 Tech is a huge moment for Phlo and a reflection of the team we’ve built and the trust patients place in us every day.

“From our clinicians and pharmacists to our product and engineering teams, everyone at Phlo is focused on making healthcare easier to access, safer to use and better connected.

“We’re proud to be building and scaling a UK-wide digital health business from Scotland, and to see that work recognised alongside some of the UK’s most ambitious technology companies.”

Phlo’s success has been supported by external investment from PXN, Thairm Bio and Scottish Enterprise, alongside its expansion into major UK hubs including Glasgow, London and Manchester. Phlo is led by CEO Adam Hunter, a founding team member who has driven the company’s commercial growth since launch, and COO Alistair Murray, whose expertise spans pharmacy operations and technology-led healthcare transformation.
