North-East accountancy and business advisory Hall Morrice has announced three senior promotions.

Phil Bellringer and Mark Hay have been appointed as senior managers, while Ross Milne has been elevated to the position of manager.

Mr Billringer joined Hall Morrice in April 2023 with extensive experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance for a range of clients across various sectors. His portfolio has now increased, allowing him the chance to build on his existing client relationships and develop new ones.

Mr Hay joined the Aberdeen and Fraserburgh-based firm in August 2023, and has recently taken on his own portfolio of clients at Hall Morrice. He has over 20 years of experience in general practice, dealing with owner-managed businesses.

With a focus on accounts preparation and business advisory services, Mr Hay also has a keen interest in digital solutions and cloud accounting. In addition he manages the Hall Morrice payroll team, which provides a comprehensive service to businesses of all sizes across the north-east.

Mr Milne, a Robert Gordon University (RGU) graduate, joined the firm during his studies and took up a permanent role in 2019. Since then he has excelled in his current role as an assistant manager, and is a key contact for a number of clients. He will now take on manager responsibilities, together with managing a small team of staff and taking on his own portfolio of clients.

Louise Smith, director at Hall Morrice, said: “We are delighted to announce these promotions, which further strengthen our team and reinforce the future independence of our firm.

“Phil, Mark, and Ross have all demonstrated exceptional skills and dedication, and have made valuable contributions to the success of our clients and our business.

“These promotions also demonstrate our commitment to developing our talent from within, as well as recruiting accountancy professionals at all levels of their career.

“We are confident that Phil, Mark, and Ross will continue to deliver high-quality service and advice to our clients as they take on their new roles.”

These promotions are the latest in a series of appointments and career progressions at Hall Morrice. Chris Colville took up the role of partner on 1 April 2024 and Jack Borg-Delaney was appointed to the newly created position of audit director in January.

A quartet of promotions to the roles of managers and assistant managers were awarded in October 2023 which followed a record intake of nine placements and trainees from RGU in autumn of the same year.
