Henderson Loggie Foundation launches second round of grants to help local groups

Charitable Foundation trustees (April 2025)

The Henderson Loggie Charitable Foundation has opened its second round of grant funding and is inviting local charities and community groups across Scotland to apply.

The foundation, which was set up last year by the accountancy firm Henderson Loggie, aims to support people facing disadvantage, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other significant challenges.

The first round of grants, awarded earlier last year, supported five organisations working at the heart of their communities. Funding went to groups helping children and families in need, people living with neurological conditions, unpaid carers and young people who face barriers to education. Each organisation received support to continue or expand services that make a direct difference to people’s lives.

Chair of the foundation Jacqueline Watson, said: “The first round of funding showed us just how many dedicated organisations are working quietly and tirelessly to support people who need it most.

“We’ve already seen the difference these grants are making, from helping children access inclusive play to supporting carers and improving wellbeing for people living with long‑term health conditions.

“We’re proud of what’s been achieved so far, and we want to help even more groups in the months ahead. If your organisation is making a positive impact in your community, we strongly encourage you to apply.”

The foundation is particularly keen to hear from organisations that support people experiencing ill health, disability, age‑related challenges, financial hardship or social disadvantage. Projects that improve wellbeing, independence, inclusion or access to education are also encouraged to apply. All applicants must be based in Scotland and able to demonstrate clear local impact.

Applications can be made via Henderson Loggie’s website, where full details of the criteria and application process are available.
