Itsettled expands presence into Scotland with new Highlands base

Working capital and credit management specialist itsettled has expanded into Scotland, establishing a new Highlands base to support businesses facing increasing pressure on working capital and receivables performance.

Victoria Herd, itsettled’s director for Scotland and head of working capital projects, who is based in Lairg, Sutherland, will head up the new Highland base.

She will work with businesses and professional advisers across the Highlands and wider Scotland, including the east and west coasts, Glasgow and Edinburgh, helping organisations identify and address the issues that can leave working capital tied up.

These can range from increasing debtor days and significant aged debt to unresolved invoice queries, stretched credit control teams and weaknesses in processes and controls.

Herd has more than 25 years’ experience in credit management and working capital, including leading national receivables management at Deloitte and holding senior in-house roles delivering working capital improvement, refinancing and finance transformation projects.

She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management. Itsettled works with mid-market businesses facing significant receivables, credit control and working capital challenges. Its specialists work alongside existing finance teams, typically through defined three-month interventions, to improve receivables performance, strengthen credit control and leave businesses with sustainable processes and capability.

Herd said: “Businesses often know that debtor days are increasing or too much working capital is tied up in the sales ledger. The challenge is understanding why it’s happening and having the resource and expertise to address it. I’m looking forward to working with businesses across Scotland to tackle those issues and leave them with stronger credit control and processes for the future.”

Glen Morgan, chief executive at itsettled, added: “Establishing a presence in Scotland means we can work more closely with businesses and their advisers across the country, bringing in experienced, hands-on resource when they need it and helping them unlock working capital from their sales ledger.”
