Monzo has launched a new  auto-investing cashback credit-card

Monzo has launched a new auto-investing cashback credit card following a surge in demand for tools that turn routine money saving habits into long-term financial progress.

The fintech claims to have save more than £1.43bn for customers via its automated round-up tool since 2018, with £262.5m deposit between January and September 2026 alone. It also claimed that a customer deposited more than £22,000 into investments through round-ups alone.

Monzo’s new Aura credit card is claimed to be the first card that auto-invests cashback as you spend in the UK. It lets customers earn up to 1% uncapped cashback on food and 0.5% on everything else, which is automatically invested into fee-free Monzo Investments so routine purchases deliver tangible long-term value. Aura is £15 a month (£180 a year).

Luke Enock, general manager, borrowing, at Monzo said: “We know our customers really value products that deliver both immediate benefits and longer-term financial progress in one. For the first time, Aura combines fee-free auto-investing and cashback as you spend, so every purchase has the potential to do more.

“Aura turns each trip to the shop into investing for the future, whether that’s for a holiday, putting towards a first home or another money goal, all whilst adding value to people’s lives from today with a variety of partner perks.”
