Tax manager Ben Connolly appointed at EQ Accountants

EQ Accountants LLP have appointed Ben Connolly as tax manager in their Glenrothes office.

Mr Connolly joined EQ last Monday, having previously worked as a client tax manager. He is ACCA qualified with over 10 years’ experience in the profession and is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA), bringing the number of CTAs within EQ to eight. 

EQ offers specialist tax and business advisory services to a wide range of businesses. In Fife, the team are led by tax partners Ross Oliphant and Gordon Buist, who between them have over 40 years of specialist tax experience. 



Mr Oliphant commented: “We are delighted to welcome Ben to our team.  He is an experienced tax advisor and will continue to strengthen the specialist tax advice we are renowned for offering our clients.

“In recent years, there has been increased demand for our specialist tax services and advice, so we are excited to have Ben on board to help us deliver high-value tax advice to our clients across Scotland and beyond.”

EQ’s Glenrothes office has grown significantly in recent years, with the demand for their specialist tax and advisory assignments contributing to a 12% increase in work done last year alone. The team have also invested heavily in their staff, increasing their headcount by nine over the same period.

EQ Accountants LLP are a £9 million turnover firm with a substantial presence in Glenrothes, Dundee, and Forfar.
