VAT & Indirect Tax Advisors (VITA) has marked the conclusion of its 2025 Charity of the Year partnership with Sepsis Research FEAT, the UK’s only charity dedicated exclusively to funding sepsis research, by raising, nearly £7,000 to support its vital work.

Throughout the year, VITA’s team took part in a mix of physical challenges, fun competitions, and community events, beginning in January, when it kicked off the year with a month-long step challenge, clocking up more than 700 miles between them and raising £1,600 for Sepsis Research FEAT.

The competitive spirit continued in May, when two of VITA’s partners, Greg McNally and Craig Stobo, went head-to-head to see who could raise the most before the deadline. The lowest total meant a shaved head. The challenge, which raised £925, didn’t end well for Greg.

In August, team members took on the world’s largest Inflatable 5K at Strathclyde Country Park where, wearing their purple Sepsis Research FEAT tops, the team helped raise awareness and £525 more for the charity.

The fundraising year concluded with a hugely successful Quiz Night in a Glasgow bar-diner with an evening of facts, fun, and friendly competition which raised £3,660.

Craig Stobo, a Partner in VITA as well as Founding Chair of Sepsis Research FEAT, who has suffered devastating losses from sepsis in his family, said: “Seeing that room full of friendly faces supporting Sepsis Research genuinely meant a lot to me and the team.

“Thank you for your generosity, your support, and for being part of a night that really meant something. I’m proud of what we’re building with Sepsis Research FEAT, and nights like that remind me why we do it. I’m already looking forward to the next one.”

Greg McNally, VITA’s founding partner, said: “As for next year, we have already committed to repeating our hugely successful Quiz Night which raises awareness as well as funds.

“This year has shown the power of coming together, and we want to build on that in 2026.”

Beyond that, the team plans to shift its focus next year toward volunteering initiatives and community participation, building on the spirit of teamwork and impact fostered this year.
