William Duncan + Co celebrates Leap Day with new community initiative

Every William Duncan + Co team member has a 1⁄2 day allowance to dedicate to giving back to the community. They can opt to do something amazing with their charity partners or give time to a charity or community group of their choosing.

On the accountancy firm’s LinkedIn, it wrote: “As it is a Leap Year and a bonus day that we only get every four years we saw this as a great opportunity for us to reflect on the gift of time and how we can use it to help others.”

William Duncan + Co said that the initiative will see the accountancy firm taking a Big Leap into the community and getting involved with its charity partners and a whole host of volunteering events throughout the year.

Robert Fergusson, managing director, said: “This is a bonus day that we only get every four years and a great opportunity for us to reflect on the gift of time and how we can use it. So, with this in mind, we decided to give this time back to our local community.

“Our Big Leap initiative will see us getting involved with our charity partners, Whiteley’s Retreat and Centrestage as well as a whole host of volunteering activities throughout the year. This continues in the tradition of the William Duncan Charitable Trust which has been raising money for the local community since its inception in 2015.”
