The average property selling price in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders over the past three months was £265,953, up 7.4% compared to the same period last year, according to the latest figures from ESPC.

Edinburgh-based real estate consultants ESPC has revealed the top selling areas in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders throughout 2020.

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the average property selling price in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders was £269,542, up 8.1% compared to last year, according to the latest data released by ESPC.

Scottish property prices are continuing to rise year on year as the average selling price from August to October Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders rose by 7.9% to reach £270,983.

Property selling prices are rising in Scotland as an increasing number of homes go on the market, according to the latest ESPC data.

Over the past three months, the average property selling price in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders was £248,009 – an increase of 2.1 per cent on the previous year. In Edinburgh, the average selling price was £265,748, a 1.8 per cent increase compared to last year.

The number of properties coming to market in Edinburgh, Fife and the Borders has declined as 2019 ends, according to ESPC's latest House Price Report.

Over the past three months, average selling prices across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders rose by 2.5 per cent to £253,552.
