Aldermore Bank has appointed Derek Davidson as lending manager for Scotland.

Mr Davidson’s appointment will help support Aldermore’s continued growth plans for the Scottish real estate market – via both intermediaries and direct channels, providing lending facilities in areas such as commercial mortgages, owner occupied loans and residential and commercial investment.

He brings extensive knowledge of the commercial banking market to his role, with 30 years of experience supporting SME clients throughout Scotland. He has previously held positions at the Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank.

Graham Ritchie, head of commercial mortgages, Aldermore, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Derek to the lending team. With his extensive experience in commercial banking, our Scottish growth plans will be in great hands.”

Derek Davidson added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Aldermore at such an exciting time where there’s so much opportunity. I’m looking forward to helping build on the existing expertise we have and focusing on higher value and more complex transactions, creating a very powerful offering to our marketplace in Scotland.”
