Anderson Anderson & Brown named most active deal-maker in Scotland

Chartered accountant and business advisory firm Anderson Anderson & Brown (AAB) has been revealed to be the most active dealmaker in Scotland in the first half of 2019.

AAB’s corporate finance team has completed the greatest number of deals within the six month period from January to June. They have subsequently topped the league table with a total of 21 completed agreements with a total value of £1.8m.

The deals encompassed a number of sectors across Scotland, including oil and gas, food and drinks, technology, construction, healthcare and business services.



Some of the deals outlined in the latest Scottish Business Insider dealmakers tables are DC Thomson Media’s acquisition of PSP Media, equity fundraising for Project Heather (the new Scottish Stock Exchange), the disposal of Rainbow Services to Grosvenor Health and Social Care and the merger in Inspire Catering with CH&CO’s Scottish operations.

Coming second to AAB in the list was Johnston Carmichael with a total of 15 deals worth £80.68m.
