Accountants and business advisory firm CT is celebrating after its payroll team has been awarded a “much-coveted” UK industry accreditation standard by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).
The team has joined just a handful of Scottish firms in achieving the Payroll Assurance Scheme Accreditation, a prestigious quality mark awarded for demonstrating excellence in the payroll profession through exceptional service delivery.
Administered by CIPP, the Payroll Assurance Scheme is a voluntary, gold standard accreditation scheme developed in collaboration with HMRC which is valid for two years. It is designed to encourage payroll teams to adopt a dedicated approach to compliance, implement robust processes, and encourage lifelong learning and development across their operations.
The new CIPP accreditation comes as CT has launched a new high-end health check review service offering clients a full audit covering all aspects of payroll compliance. Tailored to specific business needs, the new service provides a comprehensive report with non-compliance identification and recommendations.
Claire Proctor, head of payroll at CT, said: “We’re delighted on this latest achievement which underlines our commitment in delivering the highest standards in the payroll services we provide for clients.
“By securing the much-coveted Payroll Assurance Scheme Accreditation, we have been independently recognised for our responsive, precise, and high-quality approach to payroll services.”
Jason Davenport, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals, said: “The drive to raise recognition of the payroll profession, and the value of the profession to organisations and public life, is our core purpose at CIPP.
“In addition to our congratulations to CT for operating at the high standards sufficient for the Payroll Assurance Scheme accreditation, I would also like to thank the firm for helping raise the compliance standards through payroll procedures in the profession.”
