Remy Lammertsma has joined Dains as chief financial officer in the group’s second senior leadership appointment this year.

Mr Lammertsma’s appointment follows that of Fiona McSwein as chief client officer late last month.

Following a period of sustained expansion, supported by private equity investment from IK Partners, Dains now employs more than 1,000 professionals, including from seven offices in Scotland.

Mr Lammertsma brings more than 20 years of international management experience, with a proven track record in transforming finance functions, leading M&A and driving shareholder value for private equity partners.

Most recently, he served as CFO at Expereo, a leading private equity-backed global technology business headquartered in Amsterdam, where he also led the company’s successful M&A strategy.

During his time at Expereo he professionalised the finance function, establishing robust finance processes & controls, and enhancing reporting and FP&A capabilities, enabling the company’s rapid global scaling, both organically and through M&A.

He played a central role in Expereo’s strategic positioning, Exit readiness and successful sales to Seven2 and then to Vitruvian Partners.

Mr Lammertsma started his career at Orange Business, where he managed central and regional finance functions in the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Richard McNeilly, chief executive officer at Dains, said: “As Dains continues to grow and evolve, we’ve remained focused on strengthening our capabilities, integrating further across the group and investing in the right leadership in place to support long-term growth.

“Remy brings extensive international experience in scaling finance functions and driving growth in private equity-backed environments.

“His expertise will be critical as we continue to grow and strengthen the financial foundations of the group.”

Mr Lammertsma said: “Dains has built a strong platform with clear strategic direction and an ambition that really stands out. The group has grown significantly in recent years, and there is a real opportunity to build on that momentum.

“My priority will be to ensure we have the financial insight to support sustainable, scalable growth. I’m delighted to be joining at such an exciting point in the journey and look forward to working with teams across the group.”

Dains has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Dunfermline, Ayr and Kilmarnock.
