Glasgow Credit Union has announced the appointment of Pete Duncan as their new chief operating officer.

Mr Duncan, a qualified career banker with a wide range of skills, will assume responsibilities next Wednesday.

His appointment follows the recent appointment of David Ross as CEO in April.

Archie Ferguson, chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “The Board of Directors is delighted with both of our new appointments, who will lead Glasgow Credit Union through an exciting period of growth and change.

“Pete has a wealth of operational experience from the financial services industry and we look forward to welcoming him to the team later this month.”

Further appointments to Glasgow Credit Union’s leadership team will be made in the coming weeks, Scottish Financial News was told.

The credit union is the largest and most successful in the UK, with over 47,000 members within the Glasgow “G” postcode area.
