PwC considers adjusting hiring practice for graduates 'impacted' by lockdown

Big four firm PwC has said it is reviewing its hiring and training procedures to accommodate recent school leavers and graduates affected by the lockdown and missed out on taking exams under normal conditions due to Covid.

The firm is exploring ways to make the hiring process less intimidating for these candidates.

A PwC spokesperson told Scottish Financial News: “We’re acutely aware that lockdown will have impacted students in all sorts of ways. It would be remiss for us not to look at our approaches to recruitment and the experiences of people joining the firm to make sure we understand the impacts and are providing the best support.

“For example, we are looking at improving the candidate experience during our selection process to provide greater support for students as they approach the assessments.

“This will help level the playing field for candidates from all backgrounds and guide them as they approach the process.”
