PwC has announced 226 promotions across Scotland, including one equity partner and 12 director appointments.

Reaffirming the big four firm’s commitment to Scotland, the promotional spree includes all service lines across its three Scottish offices.

In a significant elevation, Craig Willis, who was formerly an audit director in PwC’s Newcastle office, joins the Glasgow team as a new equity Partner.

The 12 directorial appointments include Alistair Rose, Lucie Chadwick, and Stefanie Hinnenkamp’s promotion to director in the Scottish audit practice. The consulting department sees David MacLeod and Paul Currie becoming directors.

The Scottish Risk practice welcomes Ainsley Normand, Arwa Wilson, Gerard Hoey, Jonathan Couto, and Sarah Collins as new directors, while Lauryn Martin and Phil Morgan have been elevated to tax directors.

Half of these new Directors will operate from Edinburgh, while Glasgow and Aberdeen will host four and two directors, respectively.

Jason Morris, regional leader for PwC Scotland, said: “It’s been a really strong twelve months for the firm in Scotland, and that is testament to the hard work of our teams in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Our people are our business, and I’m incredibly proud to see so many talented team members progressing in their careers with us.

“I’m also thrilled to welcome Craig to the team in Scotland - he’s delivered outstanding work for PwC in the North of England and his admission to the partnership is well-deserved.

“The strength of our performance over the past year is down to the excellent work our people deliver consistently. I’m in no doubt that our newly promoted team members will bring fresh perspectives and new ideas that will strengthen our capabilities across the industries and markets our Scottish teams serve on a local, national and global level.”

Across PwC UK, 69 directors have been promoted to equity partners, while five further direct partner hires take the total partnership to more than 1,000 for the first time.
