A number of Scottish councils have announced significant progress in distributing coronavirus support funding to businesses across the country. 

More than £4.9 million of funding has been paid to date to Scottish Borders firms from the Scottish Government’s Coronavirus Business Support Fund, helping a total of 438 businesses. A dedicated team of staff continue to work through all applications received by Scottish Borders Council&

Just over £1.7 million of funding has been paid out this week to some of the businesses in the Scottish Borders affected by coronavirus, providing vital support to 148 businesses in the area.

Scottish Borders Council is hosting a business event for local firms to show its support for Living Wage Week. Living Wage Week takes place from 11-15th November.
