And finally... auction for action

The lunch with Joan Collins will be at Claridge’s - a 5-star hotel in London - with her husband Percy Gibson and actor Christopher Biggins also in attendance.

Jools Holland is also offering drinks backstage at one of his shows as a prize with Grayson Perry also offering a tour of his studio.

Similarly, artworks produced by Anish Kapoor, Julian Opie and The Connor Brothers are also up for grabs at the charity auction.

Fans of University Challenge will get the chance to bid for a round with Jeremy Paxman, with two family places up for grabs, The Metro reports.

Fans of the TV show Call The Midwife can also bid for a chance to appear on in the show, with up to four people being offered the chance to visit the set and play a walk-on role.

Auctioneer Bonhams is hosting the auction.

Patrick Masson, Bonhams managing director for the UK and Europe, said: “The NHS staff and volunteers are heroes to us all. We at Bonhams are honoured to host this initiative and to donate the skills we have at our auction house to support those who are working so hard for us on the front line.”

The auction will be live on the Bonhams website from 9am on April 8 until April 29.
