Paul McDougall, Alexander Hogg, Craig Allison, and Rory McCall

Wylie & Bisset has unveiled an array of promotions across various sectors of its organisation including audit, business advisory services, insolvency, payroll, and tax departments.

Sandy Hogg and Rory McCall have received promotions to associate director within the external audit team, acknowledging their significant contribution to the growth of the team’s fee income and client base in recent years. Mr Hogg serves a diverse client base across SMEs, charities, and the education sector, whereas Mr McCall handles a portfolio that spans charities, commercial entities, education and housing associations.

Both Mr Hogg and Mr McCall are key points of contact throughout the audit process, ensuring that deadlines and client requirements are achieved, while delivering a high-quality service.

Claire Dalrymple, partner in the external audit department, said: “Sandy and Rory have both worked hard to achieve their RI license and are valued members of the external audit management team. I am delighted for them both.”

The firm’s insolvency department announced a quartet of promotions, with Paul McDougall ascending to associate partner, Craig Allison to associate director, Cameron Andrew to senior administrator, and Stacey Kelly to administrator.

Mr McDougall specialises in personal insolvency, guiding individuals on suitable options, while Mr Allison provides advice to directors and businesses under financial pressure and works closely with shareholders and directors of profitable, solvent companies seeking to utilise the tax efficient process of a members voluntary liquidation.

Further promotions across the firm include Laura Cochrane and Ellen Dakers as senior client advisors in the business advisory services department, Margaret Egan as senior manager and Stewart Allan as supervisor in the payroll department, and Gavin Brown promoted to senior manager in the tax department.

Donald McKinnon, managing partner at Wylie & Bisset, said: “These widespread promotions follow our joining forces with CFO Solutions group Opulus to create a ‘hub and spoke’ model of business advisory services and reflect the dedication and hard work put in by employees providing excellent client service. Congratulations to them all.”
