Wylie & Bisset, the Glasgow-based chartered accountants, has appointed Scott Grant, a seasoned head of sales with demonstrable success driving profitable growth in highly competitive markets, as its first-ever business development director.

Experienced at developing new customer networks and maintaining strong relationships with strategic accounts, Mr Grant has experience of leading management teams and developing strong client relationships at all levels within corporate and small business environments, including B2B, B2C, hardware, software and SaaS business services.

Mr Grant said: “My remit as the firm’s first Business Development Director is to work both vertically within our departments, partner-by-partner and industry by industry, but also to work horizontally across the organisation to seek to harness the power of everybody’s collective efforts towards achieving our corporate vision.



“The role involves articulating the needs of the business in terms of intelligence and how we can best utilise the tools we have at our disposal or need to secure from an IT perspective to enable a better understanding of the various opportunities that exist for us to deliver an enhanced range of services to our existing client portfolio.”
